Jerome Boateng Pulls Back Supposed Move to Manchester United

Bayern Munich’s 29-year-old defender Jerome Boateng has decided not to join Jose Mourinho’s team. A £22.5 million offer was made by Manchester United on Tuesday but were also told to up their bid to twice the price with the player being valued at £45million.

The German footballer talked with Bayern Munich coach Niko Kovac regarding his role at Bayern which he can still keep in spite the plausible transfer to United. Jose Mourinho’s side has been going through challenges in meeting targets over the line in the recent weeks as the season begins.

Boateng has reached out to Mourinho and expressed his withdrawal from joining Manchester United as he decided to move to Old Trafford instead. United extended their talks with Barcelona’s Yerry Mina who currently has a settlement with Everton, but nothing is supposedly set in stone yet. United’s Marcos Rojo is wanted by The Goodison Park club but has not yet made any agreements or commitments.
