Aaron Ramsey has been in demand by big clubs in the Premier League including Manchester United and Liverpool, as well as Juventus. The latter offered the 28-year-old midfielder a new contract worth a whopping sum of £83 million for the next four years, automatically prompting United and Liverpool to drop out of the quest to get Ramsey to their side of the neighborhood.
There were also discussions Ramsey held with Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) who got to the point of negotiating a pre-contract agreement after rejecting a new deal at Arsenal. Other teams in the Premier League have also attempted to get in a huddle with Ramsey, which includes Bayern Munich, Inter Milan, and Real Madrid.
Ramsey also took to social media a personal statement for all his Arsenal fans with a tweet expressing his gratitude and time spent with the team, as he moves on to Juventus. “I will continue to give the team 100% and hope to finish the season strongly, before heading on to my next chapter in Turin.” The 28-year-old adds.
Juventus confirmed Monday that the Welsh footballer did, in fact, sign a four-year agreement ahead of joining the team in the coming summer. The 28-year-old midfielder is said to be one of the six British players to sign with Juventus in the coming summer. Other British players include John Charles and Ian Rush who are both set to play with Ramsey in the same team as Cristiano Ronaldo.
